We are looking to welcome a talented and creative Marketing and Communications Officer to bring our school’s story to life.
This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys variety, purpose?driven work and the chance to make a real impact in an educational setting.
This is a full-time position for 2026 with the opportunity for permanent.
About the Role:
Share Iona's identity, values and voice through:
Shaping how our story is told online through the creative direction of the College’s social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
Producing cinematic and documentary?style videos, advertisements and event content that showcase the life and spirit of the College
Delivering a high?quality and high-volume stream of real?time, same?day content, including event coverage and daily social media stories
Creating photography and graphic content designed to capture attention, spark engagement and drive performance
Managing and refining the College’s digital communication platforms (Schoolbox/ICON), ensuring a cohesive, engaging and user?friendly experience
Executing targeted marketing campaigns that support enrolment growth, event attendance, highlight achievements and strengthen brand presence
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver focused communication initiatives
Using data, insights and analytics to inform decisions that enhance marketing and communications outcomes
Managing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timelines and expectations are met
Leveraging emerging technologies to enhance productivity and elevate content creation

About You:
You’re a talented Marketing and Communications professional who thrives in a fast?paced environment and enjoys making a real impact. You are:
A talented content creator across social media and marketing campaigns
Capable and confident designing and delivering content across photography, videography and graphic design
Tech?savvy and future?focused, with strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom), Canva, AI tools and emerging technologies
Skilled in video production, editing, motion graphics and colour grading, using professional tools such as DaVinci Resolve and After Effects
Experienced in managing digital platforms and keeping content clean, current and user?friendly
Knowledgeable and skilled with social media platforms, audience behaviour and performance metrics—you know what works and why
An exceptional writer, editor and proofreader with an eye for detail, clarity, tone and polish
Committed to brand consistency across every channel
Ideally, experienced in an education or values?based organisation (desirable, not essential)
Supportive of the values of Catholic education
A holder of a Working with Children (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
