Redline Cranes is seeking a Leading Hand Crane Technician to join our growing team in Kewdale, WA, working from our new, modern workshop with opportunities

Redline Cranes, a dynamic Mechanical, Crane Hire and Sales company based in Kewdale, WA, Australia. We have a new expansive workshop, which is a great place to be. We pride ourselves on Crane Maintenance, Crane Hire and Crane Sales.

This opportunity is based in our Perth new workshop with some small trips of optional FIFO or DIDO.

About You/Requirements:

Requirements and Experience (Essential)

Mechanical Trade Certificate to Must hold a valid Mechanical Trade Certificate relevant to the role.

Heavy Diesel or Light Vehicle qualification accepted to Either Heavy Diesel or Light Vehicle Mechanical Trade Certificate meets the requirements for this position.

Minimum 2to3 years' experience in a similar mechanical or technician role.

Valid Australian Driver's Licence to Required to perform workshop and field tasks safely.

Strong problem?solving and diagnostic skills to Ability to identify faults and deliver practical solutions.

Experience with hydraulics and fault diagnostics to Hands?on experience working with hydraulic systems.

Basic hydraulics knowledge sufficient to Foundational understanding and exposure to hydraulic systems is acceptable for this role.

Sound communication skills to Ability to communicate clearly with team members, suppliers, and clients.

Flexibility in job duties to Willingness to undertake additional suitable tasks as required.

Basic to intermediate IT skills to Confident use of email, specifically Microsoft Outlook.

Leading Hand Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance to technicians and apprentices

Lead by example in workmanship, safety, and workshop standards

Assist with job prioritisation and quality control

Support diagnostics escalation and complex mechanical issues

Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures

Highly Regarded

Experience working on mobile cranes or lifting equipment (Franna, Tadano, Liebherr or similar)

Strong hydraulic diagnostics and fault?finding capability

Engine / gearbox rebuild skills

Welding and fabrication skills

HR Driver's Licence

CN or C6 tickets

Desirable

Basic auto?electrical knowledge to Understanding of vehicle and crane electrical systems.

Experience using ServiceM8 or similar job management software (training can be provided).

Exposure to job scheduling, work sign?off, or mentoring apprentices
