About Us

Exploring Minds Psychology is expanding. We're a small, boutique psychology practice in the heart of Subiaco, committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to children and adolescents. Our practice values collaboration, flexibility, and a supportive work environment.

We work onsite with allied health professionals, including paediatricians, occupational therapists, GPs, and speech therapists, creating a holistic and collaborative approach to client care.

We are looking for a passionate Registered, Counselling, or Clinical Psychologist to join our team on a contractor basis. Other psychology disciplines are encouraged to apply.

About the Role

This is a contractor position with flexible hours and days, allowing you to work within your own interest areas. You will have the opportunity to provide both assessments (cognitive, educational, ADHD, and Autism assessments) and counselling to clients, with support from a collaborative and professional team. You choose the work you do.

Our practice supports work-from-home and telehealth, with flexibility to fit around your schedule, while also providing a modern, comfortable consulting space for in-person appointments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychological assessment (ADHD, Autism, Specific Learning Disorders, Cognitive and Educational Assessments) to optional

Provide evidence-based psychological interventions (CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.) to optional

Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Collaborate with other health professionals for holistic client care

Work independently while contributing to a supportive team culture

Manage your own caseload in line with your availability and interests

About You

You will be a good fit if you are warm, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality client care.

Essential:

Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Clinical Psychologist

Working rights in Australia (sponsorship unavailable)

Working with Children Check

Eligibility for Medicare provider number

Professional indemnity and public liability insurance

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and responsibly manage a caseload

Desirable:

Experience working in an educational/school setting

Experience working with children and adolescents

Skills in CBT, ACT, DBT, schema therapy, or similar modalities

Experience administering psychological assessments (WISC-V, WIAT-III, CTOPP-2, etc.)

Trained (ADOS-2 or MIGDAS) or interested in training in Autism assessments

Experience in private practice
