Occupational Therapist to Contractor Role
Location: Melbourne Western suburbs and surrounding areas, Victoria
Company: Gibelli Positive Pathways
Work type: Contractor (ABN required) to Flexible and autonomous
Gibelli Positive Pathways is a growing multi-disciplinary service operating nationally, with practitioners across VIC, NSW, SA, and WA. We believe disability support should feel human, respectful, and genuinely helpful.
Our goal is simple: to help people build calm, confident, and connected lives through understanding, empathy, and practical strategies that actually work. We prioritize clinical integrity over caseload volume, ensuring our practitioners have the space to provide high-quality, neuro-affirming care.
We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team as a contractor. You will provide mobile 1:1 support, conduct functional capacity assessments, and implement practical interventions that enhance independence and quality of life for NDIS participants across Melbourne. This role offers the ultimate flexibility to manage your own schedule and workload.
Requirements:
Registration: Current General Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
Insurance: Evidence of current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
Compliance: NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Logistics: Valid ABN, Australian driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle for mobile service delivery.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working within the NDIS framework, specifically in community-based Occupational Therapy.
Clinical Competency: Proven experience conducting Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) and SIL/SDA assessments for participants with complex needs.
Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently, from initial intake through to reporting and plan implementation.
Why work with us:
Autonomy: Complete control over your hours, locations, and total workload.
Practitioner-Led Culture: Work within a team that values clinical quality and rights-based practice over high-volume targets.
Meaningful Impact: Deliver support in the environments where it matters most—at home, school, and in the community.
NOTE: Never make payment to any employer, person, company, contractor or agency to get hired for a Job.
Apply by sending your CV and a short introduction to info@gibellipositivepathways.com.au.
