Civmec are currently seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to support our upcoming Port Debottlenecking Project. Civmec has been awarded the major civil works package for PDP2 at BHP's Nelson Point, including delivery of a new Car Dumper 6 (CD6) and associated civil/structural works to vault, tunnel, positioner slabs, substation, dust scrubber, and conveyor interfaces.

The Role

Assist in setting up formwork and ensuring correct depth, pitch, and alignment.

Spreading and levelling of concrete using rakes, shovels, hand and machine trowels

Screeding and finishing concrete including chipping, scraping and grinding of high spots, ridges and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, power grinders and hand tools

Curing of concrete and monitoring the effects of weather during the curing process

Assisting with backfill, vibration and concrete compaction

Sanding and patching

Installing fixtures in concrete such as anchor bolts, steel plates and door sills

Inspect and ensure formworks and temporary works are firmly secured prior to concrete pour

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

2+ years Industrial experience in concreting

Previous construction experience within the mining and resources (preferable)

Nationally recognized Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card)
