IoT Developer
POSITION SUMMARY: As an expert member of our Delivery team, you will help build innovative, inspiring software that optimizes the newest technologies and brings value to its users. Working with us means you’ll: Continue to explore and innovate in the areas of M2M (Machine-to-Machine), IoT (Internet of Things), web and mobile. Work closely with industry leaders in software architecture and development. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work across all layers of an application (front to back-end) to integrate systems and sensor devices. Implement clean, maintainable, and testable code, working in tandem with other developers and designers across the project teams. Integrate web solutions with back-end services and enterprise systems. Be a collaborative, active contributor to the team and overall organization by participating in daily standups, peer reviews and product demos. Realize ways to bring business value to our clients through the use of new technology and ideas.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering. 3-5 years hands-on experience developing prototypes and applications for web and mobile technologies. Expertise developing in Java and integrating with backend systems using Spring Integration, SOAP, REST, Ajax, XML, JSON etc. Expertise in full-stack development and architecture of prototypes and applications for M2M, IoT, web and mobile. Experience in one or more of Arduino, Raspberry PI and iBeacons. Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to meet tight project deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate collaboration. Be passionate and curious about software and technology and an interest in staying ahead of the game in the world of IoT and M2M.
