Located in the heart of the Shoalhaven region in the suburb on Nowra Hill (Yuin Country) our service offers care for children aged 0 to 5 years of age. With a capacity for 79 children, our early learning service prides itself on being connected with the local community and creating relationships with the families attending our service.
What you will do:
As an early childhood teacher, leading our 4-5 year old pre-school room, you will be a team player in a collaborative environment where you can share your experience and knowledge with the team while supporting the service, children and other employees as needed. You will facilitate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum for the designated age group while being a leader in the development of curriculum, providing mentoring to educators within the service.
Other duties include but not limited to:
Ensure the curriculum for the service is developed, implemented, and evaluated in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), One Tree policy and recognised child development theory.
Engage in reflective practice and facilitate staff in reflective practice.
Advocate for children’s rights, needs, and interests and oversee staff in establishing an environment that enables and promotes these rights, needs, and interests. Create flexible aesthetic learning environments that are in line with One Tree’s Philosophy Statement
Comply with One Tree health, safety, and environmental procedures, such as ensuring the establishment and maintenance of a healthy and safe work environment.
Oversee staff to ensure they maintain positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
