We're on the hunt for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Supervisor / Shop Manager to join the team at Cheeky Grin Coffee, a busy and growing Eastern Suburbs coffee shop.

This leadership role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, genuinely loves hospitality and takes pride in building strong teams, memorable customer experiences and smooth day-to-day operations.

At Cheeky Grin Coffee, we're more than just great coffee. Between our café operations, events and functions, no two weeks look the same, and we're looking for someone excited to help continue growing the business with us.

The Role

38-hour rotating roster

Combination of on-floor leadership and administration responsibilities

Weekend availability required

Opportunity to grow within an expanding business

Responsibilities

Leading day-to-day café operations

Supervising and supporting staff across service and kitchen workflow

High-level coffee making and quality control

Managing prep, opening and closing procedures

Stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory management

Assisting with rostering and team organisation

Training new staff and maintaining service standards

Implementing procedures and improving operational efficiency

Assisting with menu development and seasonal offerings

Monitoring café presentation, cleanliness and customer experience

Supporting event and function operations as required

Assisting with KPI tracking, business growth initiatives and customer retention

Helping coordinate collaborative marketing campaigns and local partnerships

Driving new business opportunities and community engagement

Bringing fresh ideas to help continue growing the business

What We're Looking For

Previous café leadership or management experience

Minimum 6-12 months of café leadership or management experience required

Strong barista skills and coffee knowledge

Excellent communication and people management skills

Ability to work calmly under pressure

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

A hands-on attitude and willingness to jump into all areas of the business

Passion for hospitality, service and community

Experience with ordering, systems and daily operations preferred

Event and catering experience highly regarded

A desire to lead by example and develop a positive team culture

Australian citizenship required for this position
