The Organisation

Our client is a leading ASX-listed organisation currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. A recognised market leader with a strong national footprint, they are committed to operational excellence, innovation, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

The Role: An exciting contract opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join a high-performing finance team in a pivotal business partnering role supporting operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work closely with senior operational leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to drive business performance, improve decision-making, and enhance financial outcomes across the organisation.

As the key Finance partner to the Chief Operating Officer and broader Operations leadership team, you will provide commercially focused insights, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and help embed robust planning and reporting processes that support the achievement of strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Operations leadership teams to drive business performance and informed decision-making.

Deliver insightful financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and corporate planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Review and challenge business assumptions to improve forecast accuracy and commercial outcomes.

Provide meaningful management reporting and performance commentary to senior stakeholders.

Assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives across profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet performance.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making.

Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of internal and external reporting requirements.

Build financial capability across operational teams through coaching, education, and ongoing support.

Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a high-performance culture.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, planning, and financial processes.

The Candidate

You are CA/CPA qualified and bring a strong track record within a commercial finance, business partnering, or finance management role, ideally supporting operations-led or multi-site environments. Experience within retail, FMCG or other fast-paced operational businesses will be highly regarded.

You possess exceptional analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights. Equally comfortable operating strategically and hands-on, you have a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and build strong cross-functional relationships.

Most importantly, you are a proactive and collaborative finance leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about using finance to drive operational performance and business success.
