Midas Jewellers are specialists in custom made fine jewellery with a workshop located in Miranda. With over 30 years of experience in the jewellery industry we are looking to expand our team.

There are three positions available at Midas.

The Diamond setter role means you are responsible for setting diamonds and coloured gemstones in a variety of jewellery pieces, including engagement rings, wedding bands, and custom-made designs. Experience in claw, pavé, channel, bezel, and other setting techniques is essential. The role also includes inspecting jewellery for quality control, carrying out repairs and alterations, and working closely with our jewellers to ensure a high standard of craftsmanship. Strong attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to quality workmanship are required.

The Retail Assistant role involves assisting customers with jewellery sales, providing exceptional customer service, handling enquiries, and maintaining the presentation of the store. Administrative duties are also required, including processing sales, managing repair and special orders, answering phones and emails, preparing paperwork, and assisting with general office tasks. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment are essential.

The Jewellery CAD Designer is responsible for creating detailed 3D CAD models of custom jewellery, including engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings and pendants. Working closely with sales consultants and jewellers, you will transform concepts and sketches into production-ready designs while ensuring accuracy, creativity and manufacturability. Experience with Rhino, MatrixGold or similar jewellery CAD software is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a passion for fine jewellery are essential.

Key requirements:

3 years minimum of jewellery manufacturing experience, diamond setting experience and retail assistant in the jewellery industry

A keen eye for detail

A passion for fine product and the jewellery industry

Must be able to work with platinum

A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic
