About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Life and Leisure Team Leader to join our Shoalhaven team in a full-time position.
This is an opportunity to lead a team that delivers meaningful supports and experiences for people with disability, helping participants develop skills, build confidence, form connections and achieve their goals.
As Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to Disability Support Workers, coordinate service delivery, maintain quality and compliance standards, and work closely with participants, families and stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.
For the right candidate, this role also offers opportunities to undertake higher duties and act in the Area Coordinator role, providing valuable leadership experience and career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and support Disability Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.
Foster a positive team culture aligned with Greenacres' values.
Coordinate daily operations, staffing and participant supports.
Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards.
Support staff development through mentoring, training and performance feedback.
Build positive relationships with participants, families, advocates and community partners.
Promote participant choice, independence, inclusion and wellbeing.
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and record keeping.
Maintain safe work practices and support a positive safety culture.
About You
You are a capable leader who enjoys supporting others to succeed and is passionate about helping people with disability live their best lives.
To be successful, you will have:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification, or equivalent experience.
Experience supporting people with disability in community-based settings.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Sound understanding of person-centred practice and the NDIS environment.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Driver Licence.
