Are you passionate about safety engagement, risk mitigation, responsibility and operational excellence?

As an experienced Safety Manager with strong operational capability, you have the opportunity to make an impact across a large, complex and fast-moving site environment. This role plays a key part in supporting safe, efficient and well-coordinated site operations while driving compliance, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement activities.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day safety and operational compliance activities in a proactive and practical manner. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who builds strong relationships, and thrives in a busy fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities are diverse and include:

Coordinate site safety operational compliance and facilitate safety training programs

Lead incident investigations using safety methodologies and maintain the incident register

Contribute to site-wide planning, contractor management and operational improvement initiatives

Conduct site safety audits, risk assessments and hazard minimisation activities.

Monitor operational risks and recommend practical business improvement solutions

Implement safety initiatives and oversee and improve site traffic management plans

Attributes and skills to ensure your success include:

5-10 years leadership experience in Safety within complex high risk operational, logistics, infrastructure or industrial environments.

Appropriate degree/ qualifications in HSE, coupled with proven commercial business acumen

Can demonstrate WHS systems improvement and development

Strong communication including verbal/written presentation/skills and reporting ability

IT proficient/systems savvy, with planning and reporting capabilities

Strong attention to detail, a completer, can plan, analyse, document and recommend improvements

Ability to establish, influence, engage and maintain strong relationships at all levels

Experience in audits, regulatory inspections, incident/accident investigations
