Drill Fitters and HD Fitters | FIFWA | Drill Support, Exploration and Shutdowns

MELET Fluid Technology is looking for experienced Drill Fitters, plus quality HD Fitters and Mobile Plant Fitters want move in specialist drill support.

We have current and upcoming opportunities across WA for fitters with strong experience in drill rigs, mining mobile plant, hydraulics, pneumatics, breakdowns, field service and exploration support equipment.

If you are already an experienced Drill Fitter, we want speak with you.

If you are a strong HD Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic or Field Service Fitter with the right transferable experience and you want get in drills, we want speak with you too.

This is not an entry level role. We are looking for capable tradespeople understand mining equipment, site expectations and the pressure of keeping gear moving.

About MELET

MELET Fluid Technology is a specialist drill support business built around quality trades, practical field knowledge and proper drill rig experience.

We support drill operations across maintenance, breakdowns, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, inspections, rebuilds, servicing and field support.

We are not trying be everything everyone. We are focused on drill support, drill maintenance and getting the right people on the right jobs.

The Work

Depending on your experience and the project, work may include:

Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on drill rigs

Breakdown diagnostics and repairs

Hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical fault finding

Exploration drill rig maintenance and support

Surface drill and blast fleet support

Field service and site based work

Shutdown and short term project support

Inspections, servicing and component change outs

Supporting crews keep rigs available, safe and productive

Experience we are looking for

We are interested in speaking with:

Experienced Drill Fitters

HD Fitters with drill exposure

Mobile Plant Fitters wanting move in drill support

Field Service Fitters with strong hydraulic and fault finding experience

Fitters with exploration, RC, diamond, blast hole, compressor or support equipment experience

Experience on drill rigs is highly regarded, especially Epiroc, Sandvik, CAT or exploration drilling equipment.

However, drill experience is not the only way in.

If you have strong experience across mining mobile plant, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, compressors, pumps, cylinders, hose and fitting work, breakdowns, field service or exploration support equipment, MELET may be able offer a pathway in drill support.

You need already be a capable tradesperson. This is not for completely green applicants. It is an opportunity for the right fitter move into specialist area.

You will need

Australian recognised trade qualification in Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Equipment

Previous experience working on mining equipment, drill rigs, field service or relevant support equipment

Current Australian driver's licence

Ability taps site medical and drug and alcohol screening

Strong safety attitude

Good fault finding ability

Pride in your work

The ability work with crews, supervisors and clients without drama

Shutdown pool
