Our client is an ambitious, rapidly growing healthcare organisation transforming the way healthcare services are delivered across Australia. Backed by an experienced leadership team and exciting growth plans, they are seeking an experienced General Manager – Operations to build and scale a best-in-class operational platform.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth, where you will play a key role in shaping operational strategy while remaining hands-on in execution. Reporting directly to the Founders, you will establish the operational foundations that support future expansion across multiple sites and channels.

The Opportunity

As General Manager – Operations, you will take ownership of the end-to-end operational performance of the business, leading the design, implementation and optimisation of scalable operating models across supply chain, pharmacy operations, logistics, fulfilment, customer experience and compliance.

Working closely with the Founders and senior leadership team, you will ensure the business is positioned for sustainable growth while maintaining exceptional customer service, commercial performance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable operational models across retail, online and hybrid pharmacy services.

Lead all day-to-day operational functions, ensuring outstanding customer experience and service delivery.

Build and develop a high-performing operations team and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Oversee procurement, supplier relationships, inventory management and logistics.

Drive operational efficiencies, automation and process optimisation through technology.

Ensure compliance with TGA, FSANZ and pharmacy regulatory requirements.

Partner with Finance to optimise operational budgets, margins and commercial performance.

Lead supplier and wholesaler negotiations to deliver long-term commercial value.

Support business expansion into new sites, markets and service offerings.

About You

You are a commercially minded operational leader who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys building businesses from the ground up.

You will bring:

8+ years' experience leading operations within healthcare, pharmacy or another highly regulated industry.

Demonstrated success scaling operations in a growing or multi-site business.

Strong experience across supply chain, logistics, inventory and operational excellence.

Exceptional commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, supplier negotiations and cost optimisation.

Experience developing operating models, systems and high-performing teams.

Working knowledge of TGA, FSANZ and pharmacy compliance frameworks.

A collaborative leadership style with the ability to work closely alongside founders and executive stakeholders.

A hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
