About the role

We are seeking a Retail Store Assistant to join our team at our Shepparton VIC location. This is a part-time position that offers the perfect opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment where you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining our store to the highest standards. As a Retail Store Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience whilst supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our store.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers warmly and providing knowledgeable assistance with product selection and enquiries

Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments

Maintaining store displays, ensuring products are well-presented, properly priced and neatly arranged

Restocking shelves and managing inventory levels throughout the store

Assisting with stock receipt, unpacking and pricing of new merchandise

Keeping the store clean, tidy and organised at all times

Supporting promotions and special events as required

Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times

Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth store operations

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable with at least 1 to 2 years related experience

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour

The ability to work efficiently and accurately, particularly when handling transactions and stock

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Physical fitness and capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate items

Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to part-time working

A genuine interest in home décor and giftware products is advantageous

Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided)

Available to work weekend shifts
