The Role
We are seeking qualified Diesel Fitter to join our team on the McArthur River Mine (MRM) project. You will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a fleet of CAT machinery, including Moxies, Excavators, and Dozers.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing preventative and unplanned maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimize downtime
Conducting inspections and ensuring machines meet safety and operational standards
Working in harsh outdoor conditions including heat, sun, rain, and dust
Collaborating with site teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes and skills:
Heavy Diesel qualification (AUR or MEM) with a minimum of 2+ years post-apprenticeship experience
RIISAM301 to Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment (or willingness to obtain)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving mechanical issues
This role requires working outdoors in challenging conditions, including exposure to intense sun, high temperatures, heavy rain, and dusty environments, so resilience and a strong commitment to safety are essential. Ezyquip offer a 2/2 roster.
