Swimming Pool Technician to Clark Rubber Capalaba

Clark Rubber is a retail icon in the Australian market and is well known for its Pool, foam and rubber categories. A fantastic opportunity exists for an On-Site Pool Technician to join the Clark Rubber Capalaba team. While predominantly this role is based in field, some retail shop work may be required.

The successful candidate will:

Be able to work autonomously without supervision but also be able to work in a team environment when required

Have excellent communication skills including strong written and spoken English

Be well presented, polite and professional in dealings with customers

Be physically fit as this position involves some heavy lifting and manual handling (such as pumps and salt)

Take pride in their work

Have a passion to learn and grow their knowledge.

Key responsibilities include;

General pool maintenance including cleaning, testing and balancing domestic swimming pools

Routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of swimming pool equipment including pumps, filters, chlorinators and pool cleaners

Sales and installation of new equipment

Quote generation and follow up

Schedule and inventory management.

Achieve KPIs and sales budgets

Candidates should have:

A current manual driver’s license with a good driving record

Retail Sales experience preferred but not essential.

Some experience in onsite swimming pool service preferred but not essential and/or maintenance

Great customer service skills and working with teams

Previous plumbing, electrical or gas experience would be an advantage but not essential

Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and ability to work unsupervised

Enjoy outdoors and engaging with customers as needed
