DEE Fire and Fluid is the fire protection division of VPT Group. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Fire Suppression Technician to join our team.

This role will suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to build a long-term career in a specialised trade.

About the Role:

You'll be installing, servicing, inspecting and maintaining fire suppression systems on heavy mobile equipment, light vehicles and industrial machinery across mining and industrial sites.

Previous fire suppression experience is highly regarded but not essential. If you have a mechanical background and the right attitude, we'll provide the training to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Install fire suppression systems on mobile and fixed equipment.

Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose faults and complete repairs.

Test and commission fire suppression systems.

Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.

Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.

Work closely with customers and site personnel.

We’re looking for someone who:

Mechanical experience or trade background (fire suppression experience highly regarded but not essential).

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Reliable attitude and commitment to high work standards.

Willingness to obtain relevant industry certifications (training provided).
