Commercial Accountant to Fixed Term | North Sydney

We're seeking a proactive Commercial Accountant to provide financial and commercial support across our diverse healthcare portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Business Partner, you'll play a key role in reporting, analysis, contract management, forecasting, and business performance improvement while partnering closely with operational leaders to make a difference.

Role Responsibilities | What does my day look like?

12 month plus full-time fixed term contract until Nov 2027

Deliver month-end reporting, PandL analysis, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare and distribute management reports, highlight key financial insights.

Partner with operational stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.

Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.

Manage invoicing, payment follow-up and commercial contract administration.

Conduct contract reviews, price escalations and variation analysis.

Assist with retention modelling, business cases and financial modelling

Drive process improvement and promote best practice across all commercial activities.

Role Experience | What Do I need to Succeed?

Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance and/or 4-5 years experience

Current management accounting experience within a corporate setting.

Exposure to hospitality, food service or healthcare industry ideal.

Strong financial analysis and reporting capability.

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI skills.

Sound commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail.

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP and VBA/Macros will be highly regarded.
