Southern Cross Care QLD have an opportunity for you to join our SCCQ family as a casual Personal Carer based at our Castra Residential Aged Care Home in Murgon, in QLD's South Burnett region.

Working under the direction of the Enrolled and Registered Nurses, as a Personal Carer you will be providing person-centred, high-quality care to our residents. You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs.

To promote flexibility, variety and to allow you the opportunity to gain experience across multiple roles in the organisation, there may be an opportunity for you to work in other Aged Care Worker roles. Any additional role/s will be subject to appropriate training, and any request will be considered based on relative business needs. Additional roles may include Lifestyle, Catering Assistant/Cook and/or Domestic Assistant.

What will you bring to the role?

You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)

Medication Assist Competency (desirable)

You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities

You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives

You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner

Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills

You must be flexible with your availability of days and shift times
