Surex Security is a growing electronic security company based in the Illawarra and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality security solutions across Commercial, Government, Education, Industrial and Hospitality sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be involved in the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a range of electronic security systems, including:

CCTV systems

Access Control Systems

Intruder Alarm Systems

Intercom Systems

Structured Data Cabling

Networking and IP Technologies

You'll work across a diverse range of commercial projects including schools, government facilities, industrial sites, hospitality and commercial developments.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

Experience installing and programming commercial electronic security systems

Current Australian Drivers Licence

Current NSW Security Licence (or be eligible to obtain one)

Open Cabler Registration (preferred but not essential)

Experience with structured cabling, security or AV installations

Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A strong work ethic with pride in delivering quality workmanship
