About the role

Ivy Social is looking for a creative Short-Form Video Content Creator to join the Ivy Social team on a full-time basis. If you know how to create scroll-stopping videos, understand what’s trending on TikTok and Instagram, and love turning ideas into content people actually want to watch, we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you!

Based in Canberra, ACT, this is a rare opportunity to join a passionate and creative marketing team, where you’ll work across a range of client brands and industries. From brainstorming trending video ideas to filming, editing and bringing brands to life through video, you’ll play a key role in creating engaging content that helps businesses connect with their audiences.

Your role at Ivy would involve:

Develop creative short-form video ideas for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other social platforms, with a strong understanding of current trends, formats and what makes content perform.

Plan and execute content shoots, including creating shoot plans, shot lists and creative concepts.

Travel to client locations to capture video content using mobile phones and camera equipment.

Film a range of content including product videos, behind-the-scenes content, educational videos, interviews, trends, storytelling content and lifestyle footage.

Edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar platforms, including adding captions, transitions, text overlays and trending elements.

Create content that feels native to each platform, while still aligning with each client’s brand identity and marketing objectives.

Work closely with our team to brainstorm content ideas and creative strategies.

Schedule content across social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Review performance and use insights to continually improve content direction.

Manage multiple content projects, deadlines and client deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality.

You’ll be our ideal person for the job if you have:

Experience creating short-form video content for brands, businesses or your own platforms.

A strong understanding of Instagram Reels and TikTok, including what content styles, hooks and formats perform well.

A natural curiosity for social media trends and the ability to quickly identify opportunities to adapt trends for different brands and audiences.

Strong creative instincts and the ability to turn a simple idea into an engaging piece of content.

Experience filming and editing videos.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shoots, projects and deadlines.

A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content.

Confidence working independently, while also collaborating closely with a creative team.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with clients and team members.

A keen sense of self-motivation, with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.

Flawless communication and people skills that allow you to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients.

These things aren’t essential, but would be an added gold star for your application:

Experience managing professional content creation shoots or creative projects.

Experience appearing on camera or directing talent during shoots.

Photography skills or experience capturing lifestyle/product imagery.

This role is based in Canberra, ACT.

Full-time position.

Must have own transport to get to shoot locations.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
