Location: Prestige Awards Ferndale, Randburg.

This is a permanent long term secure JOB.

Job Purpose

To manufacture, assemble, finish and repair wooden products, display items, bases, plaques, trophy components and other customized products required by Prestige Awards, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and finish wood and related materials according to job specifications.

Manufacture trophy bases, plaques, display boards, presentation items and customized products.

Read and follow drawings, measurements, job cards and production instructions accurately.

Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and correctly.

Perform sanding, drilling, cutting, gluing, fitting and finishing work.

Check finished products for correct dimensions, appearance and quality before release.

Minimize material waste and report damaged or defective materials.

Maintain tools, machines and the carpentry work area in a clean and safe condition.

Complete jobs within required production deadlines.

Work closely with engraving, printing, assembly and sales/production teams where required.

Report production problems, shortages or quality concerns immediately.

Follow Prestige Awards' safety procedures, SOPs and quality standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Practical carpentry/joinery experience.

Ability to measure accurately and work from drawings or samples.

Experience using woodworking hand tools and machines.

Good attention to detail and finishing quality.

Ability to work under production deadlines.

Reliable, disciplined and safety-conscious.

Able to work independently and as part of a production team.

The Carpenter will be measured on:

Quality and accuracy of completed work.

Jobs completed on time.

Material wastage.

Rework and rejection levels.

Machine and tool care.

Safety compliance.

Housekeeping.

Attendance, reliability and teamwork.

Core expectation: Produce accurate, high-quality work the first time, safely and on schedule.
