Job Description
Position: Food & Beverage Floor Manager
To manage the day to day front of house operations in the food & beverage department. This is a “hands-on” position, you will work closely with other departments, specifically Culinary and Catering. The position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and will lead, empower and motivate the F&B employees in a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing departmental procedures by which the highest possible degree of customer satisfaction is achieved
Maintain high internal / external customer service standards
Attract & develop talent by creating an environment in which contributions are recognized & rewarded
Oversees the service in the Nineteen restaurant, members lounge and events
Analyze function contracts, communicate effectively with customers, managers and employees to ensure that all room set ups, equipment, supplies, staffing and menus meet/exceed customer’s expectations
Motivate and Lead the event and restaurant team to achieve success
Direct and train new employees on service standards and create a positive work environment
Assist in scheduling and payroll administration
Develop & maintain positive relationships with new and repeat guests
Monitor proper operation of Restaurant Manager POS systems
Maintain effective cost controls
Handle guest complaints, follow through with appropriate action
Review all equipment and supplies and organize work flow to ensure quality events
Hands on leader to set up, clear, serve or bartend if required
Month-end inventory and ensure beverage par levels are maintained
Monitor and control F&B budget (i.e. labor costs, beverage costs, variable cost, supplies and equipment) and look for revenue generating opportunities
Ensure compliance to relevant legislative requirements
Will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Complete other duties assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage
