We are seeking Motor Mechanic/LV Mechanic for ongoing field service, backfill, ad-hoc, and shut crews to join the Ready's team!

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Trade Qualified Mechanic with a recognized apprenticeship
Minimum 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience
Recognized Automotive or Mechanical Trade Certificate
Current WA Driver’s Licence
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Current Medical and Drug and Alcohol Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Previous mining, resource, or heavy industry experience highly regarded
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
Performing scheduled maintenance servies, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
Perform fault finding and testing to identify and rectify mechanical issues
Plan and organise materials, tools, and resources required for maintenance activities
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and timesheets
Conduct quality inspections and testing of completed work
Provide feedback on equipment performance and maintenance requirements
Maintain high housekeeping standards within workshops and work areas
Report breakdowns, hazards, incidents, and unsafe work practices immediately
Ensure tools and equipment remain safe and serviceable
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve operational objectives
Promote and maintain a positive safety culture and commitment to Zero Harm.
