Summary
Successful candidates will possess strong, demonstrable skills in the areas of enterprise in source code, continuous integration deliver, development and testing environment and who support building process.
Responsibilities:
• Support delivery team by through continuous delivery/integration
• Managing environment utilizing latest scripting tools
• Passion and thrive in Agile environment
• Fast pace Agile environment
• Responsible for the day to day operations of Capital One Labs internal, and public cloud hosted infrastructure
• Automate various lab systems and tasks (e.g., automating code deployments, distributing Hadoop cluster configurations, automagically horizontally scale apps based on demand)
• Execute system administration of hosting platforms capable of running on a variety of frameworks (Python, Java, node.js)
• Support Capital One Lab beta environments (ensuring system availability, performance, capacity, and continuity through proper response to incidents, events and problems)
• Assist in code promotion process to production environments
• Find, explore and advocate for new technologies for enterprise use (Spark, Storm, Titan, CloudFoundry)
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of overall IT
• At least 2 years of experience providing enterprise Linux based system administration
• At least 1 year of experience working alongside development teams administering software delivery tools (GIT, SVN, Jenkins, Hudson, Nexus)
• At least 1 year of experience working with cloud automation/orchestration technologies (Puppet, Chef, SpaceWalk, OpenStack)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or related field of study
• 3 years of overall IT experience in an enterprise cloud environment
• Experience working in various database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, Mongo DB)
• Strong knowledge of IT system infrastructure
• Demonstrated proficiency in shell scripting
• Software development experience in the following relevant languages e.g. Java, node.js, Ruby, Python, PHP a plus
• Hadoop Administration experience a plus
