The culture is a high-trust environment where autonomy, flexibility, innovation, and accountability are valued, and where senior leaders are approachable, engaged, and committed to creating a positive workplace culture.
About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, People and Culture, and with support from a shared coordinator, this is a pivotal parental leave contract opportunity providing both strategic influence and operational ownership across the full employee lifecycle.
As the People and Culture Business Partner, supporting all levels of leaders and employees across the organisation, you will partner closely with stakeholders to drive workforce capability, organisational performance, employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, and cultural outcomes.
This broad role combines strategic planning with practical delivery and will see you leading key people initiatives while remaining closely connected to day-to-day business partnering activities. Working within a lean and small, high-performing People and Culture team, you will play a leading role in delivering the organisation's newly developed People Plan closely linked to supporting priority business objectives.
You will also contribute to organisational projects focused on digital capability, AI readiness, continuous improvement, leadership accountability, and organisational effectiveness.
About You:
You are an experienced People and Culture professional who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment where strategic thinking and execution are equally important. Comfortable partnering directly with leaders, you bring a pragmatic, commercially minded and relationship-focused approach to building people capability and credibly supporting organisational success.
You will ideally bring:
Proven operational, progressive, hands-on, generalist HR, having worked across all areas of the employee lifecycle, including exposure to corporate WHS and psychosocial matters.
Experience operating from within a medium-sized corporate, small HR team, within an evolving HR function.
Demonstrated experience influencing leaders and being credible with executive stakeholders in a flat-structured business environment.
A track record of delivering organisational change, cultural transformation, leadership capability, or business improvement initiatives.
Experience working with a highly qualified workforce within a geographically dispersed workforce.
Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and coaching skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline
Additional Requirements/Benefits:
October start, 12-month fixed-term, parental leave contract
Flexible hybrid work model with employees generally attending the office 2 to 3 days per week
Opportunity to participate in and drive meaningful leadership development programs and projects
Supportive, collaborative, and high-trust, highly engaged workplace culture.
Broad role scope covering both strategic and operational People and Culture activities
Strong GM HR, and supportive leadership and executive team committed to continuous improvement and people outcomes
