About the role
We are seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant who can deliver high-quality, timely preparation and service of meals, enhancing the dining experience for our residents while supporting their lifestyle and dietary needs.
Salary: 64,960.40 per annum or 32.87470 per hour plus 25% casual loading, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time employment)
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and serving of all meals
Ability to follow a menu to provide balanced nutritious meals, ensuring resident dietary requirements and preferences
Ensure the kitchen and kitchenettes are stocked
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and the BSL Food Handling Procedure
Complete daily, weekly and cyclical cleaning duties as outlined
In collaboration with manager, set goals and objectives to ensure outcomes are met

Key skills and experience
Current Food Safety Certificate
Demonstrated experience in working as a Kitchen Assistant, Food Services Assistant or similar
Demonstrated ability to prepare nutritious balance meals, knowledge of food intolerances and special diet requirements
Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety requirements of a commercial kitchen environment
Resident-centered mindset, with strong customer service skills
