Automation Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automation Technician with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a production and manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated machinery, control systems, and PLC-driven production lines to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on automated production equipment, robotics, conveyor systems, sensors, and motor drives.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system faults using schematics, multimeters, and diagnostic software. PLC and Control Systems: Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform basic programming adjustments on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and SCADA systems. Calibration and Testing: Calibrate sensors, switches, actuators, and transducers to ensure accurate production measurements and safety standard compliance. System Upgrades: Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning new automated machinery or control system upgrades. Safety and Quality Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and quality assurance standards.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, spare parts inventory, and system modifications.

Key Requirements and Qualifications Experience: 2 to 3 years of direct experience as an Automation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Control Systems Technician in a manufacturing or production plant.

Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PandIDs. Experience with major PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or Mitsubishi).Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drive systems. Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under production deadlines.
