The Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA), under the umbrella of the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a PSRB/Competency Monitor (PCN 155180). This important position is being created in each Lead Mental Health Agency by the Department of Forensic Services to support individuals across the state.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Shift: First shift, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Coordinate comprehensive transition and discharge plans for individuals under PSRB supervision
Collaborate with inpatient treatment teams, outpatient providers, residential programs, and community partners
Ensure continuity of care and effective risk management during transitions
Support individual recovery and help facilitate safe movement to community living
Promote long?term stability and connection to ongoing behavioral health services

The Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) is a community mental health agency operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). Its primary goal is to provide high quality behavioral health services to those in our community with mental health and substance use disorders who are 18 years or older and reside in New London County and its surrounding towns. Services, which include case management, outpatient behavioral health, crisis intervention, respite care, and forensic services, are recovery oriented and offered in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive manner. We support individuals to identify and achieve their own goals in recovery, fostering independence, dignity, and ability.
