SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Accounting is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and to develop and maintain accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Finance or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is hybrid, based out of our Houston, TX office, requiring up to 4 days per week in the office.

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.

Essential Job Function and Responsibilities

Financial Close and Reporting

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict reporting timelines

Prepare USA Corp.'s consolidated financial statements and review/validate subsidiary financial statements (US GAAP / IFRS)

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to management and headquarters, including reports on operating solar assets for management and related-party investors

Technical Accounting and Policy

Identify, research, and document technical accounting matters, providing accounting support for complex EPC project transactions — including revenue recognition, percentage-of-completion accounting, contract assets and liabilities, change orders, claims, project cost capitalization, and long-term construction contract accounting

Draft, update, and maintain the Company's accounting policies; educate the accounting team on policy application and drive implementation of new or updated IFRS and US GAAP standards

Audit and Compliance

Oversee coordination of the annual audit; proactively resolve non-standard or technical accounting matters with external auditors

Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis

Support budget and forecasting activities

Analyze and interpret financial information to support executive decision-making

Review of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payroll-related activities

Cross-Functional and International Coordination

Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives

Partner with the non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies

Process Improvement and Team Development

Monitor and analyze department workflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and resource optimization, while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to enhance departmental workflow

Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff

People Management

Directly supervise accounting staff, including workload allocation, performance management, and career development

Support team goals and priorities, and provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports

Assist with mobilization logistics including per diem, project assignments, and logistics

Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position

Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, or another related field

Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience

Prior experience directly supervising, coaching, and developing accounting staff

Speaking and writing capability in both English and Korean are required

Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting policies and practices

Experience working in a global company and interfacing with non-U.S. based parent company

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to develop processes and procedures with little

direction in a fast pace and changing environment

Required Qualifications

CPA a plus

Experience in the construction industry or renewable energy projects a plus
