Long haul truck driver (CANADA / US)

Education: Not applicable
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Refrigerated, Liquid bulk
Type of Travel: Long-haul
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's licence
Other Information:Currently looking for drivers in our Freight and Tank Division. .3704 per mile Canada .4026 per mile US Profit Sharing Plan in place
