Job Description
We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills. This individual will need to promptly and courteously answer incoming service calls and be responsible for initial customer interaction representing the service department, such as: booking appointments, recording customer concerns about their vehicle, reviewing customer maintenance records, know and suggest the required maintenance; while manage and maintain the shop work load.
The following skills and experience would be a definite asset for this position:
- Review completed vehicle inspection forms and contact customers on a daily basis with needed/noted repairs.
- Provide and maintain daily lists including a contact log outlining customer interaction, information, noted repairs, etc.
- Contact all used vehicle purchasers regarding service needs;
- Contact all customers and liaise with parts department regarding parts availability, received parts, and scheduled repairs.
- Maintain and update customer records and file.
- Ability to meet financial targets by following a consistent process described by a set matrix.
- Inquire as to special needs of the customer (ie; alternate transportation and/or shuttle);
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Willing to participate in GM training and have a genuine desire to excel in the selling of maintenance and service.
- Good telephone and communication skills.
- Computer literate with Microsoft skills, ADP experience preferred; with knowledge of service systems, Global Connect.
- Invoicing service department repair orders.
- Ensuring all customers have a plan when coming to the dealership and are aware of the options to wait or leave the building.
- Ability to book appointments in order to maximize work flow and maintain the highest level of customer service.
