Landscape Technician
Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Day
Salary: $13.00 to $16.00 Hourly for 48 hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: 2014/04/21
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (6 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Horticulturist Trade Certification, Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification, Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Landscaping company
Area of Specialization: Lawn and garden maintenance, Landscape construction, Hedge and shrub pruning, Plant knowledge and identification
Type of Landscaping Experience: Residential projects, Commercial/industrial construction
Landscape Design Skills: Manage landscaping projects
Construction Skills: Decks, Fences, Ornamental ponds, fountains and waterfalls, Interlocking brick, Irrigation systems, Retaining walls
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Plant care
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Site Environment: Various locations
