Exciting Opportunity in Linear and Digital Broadcasting

The television landscape is quickly changing, and with this change comes many new and exciting opportunities in the digital and OTT space.

OUTtv is Canada’s LGBT television network, with over 1.2 million subscribers nationwide. We’re looking for a candidate with the right mix of skills, experience, and personality, to manage OUTtv’s digital and OTT initiatives.

Position Details: Manage our online transactional and online VOD services Work directly with our digital partners, including Apple iTunes, Google Play, and YouTube, delivering content and making it available to our viewers  Prepping media for delivery, which can include audio/video editing, video encoding/transcoding, image asset creation, metadata creation/management Manage uploads/delivery of content to various outlets Assist with release schedules and work within deadlines provided

Also includes: Researching and staying current on new technologies and making recommendations for new tech partnerships, services, and product adoption Act as back-up to our linear broadcast operations team (training will be provided) Ability to provide local IT assistance an asset

Required Experience: Minimum two years work experience in a related tech field

Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in new media, IT or a related field

Skills Required: Adobe CC Suite, including: Premiere, Media Encoder & Photoshop. After Affects an asset. Final Cut Pro 7 and Compressor an asset Knowledge of video encoding/transcending processes and required software Solid foundational knowledge of audio/video formats an asset Strong problem solving skills Strong interpersonal / communication skills Ability to meet deadlines This is a great opportunity to join a great team here at OUTtv, OUTtv offers comprehensive salary + benefits package to help you achieve your best.
