Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Welder Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Construction, Maintenance/repair, New fabrication

Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication, Cast iron and other metals
Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)
Materials: Stainless steel, Steel, iron and heavy metals
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, Operate drill presses, Determine weld ability of materials, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding, Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, Layout patterns, Polish sheet metal
