Management Accountant

The role is responsible for budgeting and forecasting and supports the operational forecasting and supports the operational function in costing analysis and management information needs. In addition, the incumbent should contribute to ongoing efficiency improvements in all areas of the business. The position interacts directly with seniors /operational managers in all functional areas.

Education: B Com Degree. Professional qualification (CA or CIMA).

Experience and Skills Required: At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the steel industry. Good Cost and Management Accounting skills. Extensive working knowledge of SAP system and MS Office. Advanced people management and communication skills. Ability to function effectively under tight reporting deadlines. Ability to quickly build extensive knowledge of operations and business processes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and finalize Income Statements and Balance Sheet. Prepare management accounts and financial reports for monthly management pack. Analyse variance against Budget/ Forecasts for the division. Coordinate and compile forecasts for the division. Overall responsible for financial system, controls and governance. Prepare and compile yearly budgets with the assistance of divisional managers. Compile, analyze and report on Weekly Flash. Organise and reconcile stock takes. General ledger reconciliations. Maintenance and updating of standard costing system. Prepare and complete the product costing, compile and analyze the cost of sales. Manage and control the wages department for the division. Manage the year end function and interaction with external auditors. Prepare ad hoc financial exercises such as profitability, productivity, efficiency, working capital etc. Assist managers with capital justification expenditures. Job Title: Management Accountant.
