Legal Advisor/Consultant

Company based in Linbro Park is seeking the services of a lawyer with minimum of 5 years of post articles experience, to assist with contract drafting, negotiation skills, and corporate law. Experience in Tax law, customs and excise would be an advantage.

Duties: Reviewing and drafting and or negotiating agreements (internal and external Agreements) relating to various commercial activities, but not limited to fiduciary services and its products. Drafting legal opinions and providing legal advice of various commercial activities, but not limited to fiduciary services. Review, draft and provide legal advice on Service Level agreements, Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) and all other legal agreements. Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risk has been identified, appropriate course of action have been taken. Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management. Provide and interpret legal information. Adhere to the legal policy and adhere to Group and Cluster Legal standards and requirements. Review all Legislation relevant and impacting the Fiduciary Business. Ability to translate legislative requirements into practical, actionable operational outcomes. Identifying problems and providing solutions. Identifying legal risks and addressing them by taking the appropriate steps.

Qualifications and Minimum requirements: Law degree and professional qualification (eg: an admitted attorney or advocate etc). Minimum 5 - 10 years post articles experience.
