Location, East Rand, Advertised By Agency, Job Type Full-Time, SHERQ System Coordinator, Manufacturing and Production Industry, We are looking for an experienced SHERQ System Coordinator for a vacant position, The SHERQ System Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties (not limited to): Review and audit the SHERQ Management system for suitability, effectiveness and improvement on a continuous basis to ensure conformance with the international standards. Co-ordinate and update SHERQ system files. Report on performance of the SHERQ system to the Plant Manager. Ensure that ISO/OSHAS standards are maintained and corrective actions implemented. Monitor and ensure compliance to SHERQ legislation. Ensure monthly and quarterly SHERQ reports are compiled time. Ensure that medical surveillance programs are implemented. Ensure that all SHERQ surveys are conducted and actions followed through to completion in conjunction with the Quality & Environmental Systems Manager. Communicate with the Accredited Body on all Certification requirements. Manage all external Audits done by Accreditation body. Ensure that all registers/checklists as required by the SHERQ system is updated at the intervals specified. Provide SHERQ training and Induction for employees and contractors to ensure that that training needs analysis and requirements are met. Update and Maintain training records. Ensure that schedules are drawn up for planned job observations, that they are conducted at the intervals specified and that recommendations made are followed through. Ensure that incident and accident investigations are done, registers updated and corrective actions implemented. Ensure incident and accident statistics are updated. Ensure that SMAT audits are being conducted and actions followed through. Ensure that personal protective equipment is issued to personnel as and when required. Co-ordinate SHERQ committee meetings in conjunction with chairman. Ensure that relevant cross-referencing to ISO systems is maintained. Conduct any other duties as required by the SHERQ standards and procedures. Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum requirements. A Successful Candidate will satisfy the following requirements: Relevant Degree / Diploma – Engineering or Safety Qualification. SAMTRAC (Supervisor Safety Course) or equivalent. ISO Qualification in Quality management systems. At least 3 years’ relevant experience in Health and Safety, Environment, Site Risk and Quality Management systems (SHERQ systems) within a manufacturing environment. ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 (SHEQ) Auditing and ISO 50001 Implementation and Maintenance. 20 Step Auditing. NOSA 5 Star Grading. Advanced Fire Fighting. Hazard Identification Risk Assessment. Incident Investigation. Executive Legal Liability Workshop. Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Occupational Health and Safety Act training. Incident Investigation and SHERQ auditing training. Good computer literacy – MS Office Specific Experience. Excellent people interaction skills. Specific experience in ISO systems will be advantageous. The Remuneration Package is Negotiable from R350'000 CTC Per Annum.
