Glass Installer-Glazier (Installer for Commercial Glazing)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $25.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, WHMIS, Driver's License
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Major Work Area: Installation, Shop fabrication/manufacturing
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Industrial
Area of Installation Specialization: Skylights and slope glazed installations, Interior walls and partitions, Curtain walls, Overhead automatic doors, Suspended glazing systems
Types of Glass / Materials: Mirrors, Sealed units
Frame Fabrication and Installation: Curtain wall (stock length material), Curtain wall (prefabricated material), Spandrel panel installations, Aluminum framing members, Entranceways
Specific Skills: Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products, Install door, window and other hardware, Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle
