No experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a clinical technologist in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed Community Service as required in South Africa. Although experience is advantageous! Requirements: National Diploma in Clinical Technology (Nephrology) - tertiary educational qualification. Current registration with HPCSA as a clinical technologist (nephrology) Knowledge, skills, training and competencies required: -Knowledge of dialysis complications -Knowledge of basic operation of the intermittent hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis -Communication skills -knowledge of regulations for dialysis as per the South African renal society guidelines. Duties: Correctly handle all disposal items for dialysis. Prepare chronic and acute hemodialysis machines. Prepare continuous renal replacement therapies. Perform acute and chronic renal replacement therapies. Be able to perform all re-use processes. Monitor quality of water and dialysis fluids. Be capable of research related to renal replacement therapy. Be able to do after hours emergency dialysis as part of a roster Please note that if you are a Nephrologists or a technologist with a practice number, you will be given first preference for this position and also you will be offered equity in the medical centre.
