SANE Australia is an independent, national organization helping all Australians affected by mental illness lead a better life. It does this through a range of support, training, and education programs.

The Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications will be responsible for leading, integrating and empowering the fundraising, marketing, and communications program of SANE Australia to enable it to achieve its mission.

The role is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, marketing and communications, including building brand awareness, campaign strategy and management, digital marketing strategy, enhancing the public profile and growing independent income. The role will manage the communication messages and visual and language style used across all fundraising, marketing and communications platforms and must ensure SANE Australia is represented well by all internal and external fundraising and marketing and communications activities.

The role reports to the General Manager, is a member of the Leadership Team, will attend Board meetings and work with the Board on strategic projects as required.

To take on this role you will need to be a strong digital strategist with proven success, able to connect the mission and the brand to the people and increase the impact of our work. You will be an experienced fundraiser with marketing and communications expertise but your approach will move beyond ‘traditional’ fundraising. You live and breathe digital marketing. You understand that SANE’s relevance and success into the future is dependent on how well it executes across the online environment.

You will possess strong analytical and change management skills, coupled with the ability to manage sensitive government and sector issues. Displaying exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will take on a strategic leadership role and be highly influential and responsive, with strong people management and negotiation skills.

Located in central Melbourne, the position offers an excellent remuneration package.
