The Role: An opportunity has developed in our Wollongong office for the Area Operations Manager role, which is responsible for the overall management of services across several business units within Southern NSW. This includes accountability for programs, budgets, teams, external relationships, company image and reputation.

Essential Selection Criteria: Relevant tertiary qualification. At least five years' experience managing programs that support vulnerable people, Demonstrated understanding of budgets and acquittals and expertise in financial management. Experience in the resolution of critical risks and issues. Ability to work within a complex, dynamic and high-volume environment. A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of service users. Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management at a high level. Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills, including verbal and written and negotiation. Demonstrated ability in time management, organisational skills and well developed problem solving skills. Ability to use initiative, think laterally and strategically, to meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure. High level planning skills. Ability to work within and demonstrate the Life Without Barriers Values in all interactions. Current Driver Licence.

Desirable Selection Criteria: Experience in service development and design. Experience in meeting rigorous external compliance requirements. Experience managing within a Quality Management System. Experience managing out-of-home care, disability or mental health services. All positions within Life Without Barriers will be required to undergo probity checks including criminal record checks and working with children check (where relevant to the position).
