Payroll Clerk
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Day
Salary: $15.00 Hourly for 35 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: New Glasgow, Nova Scotia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Payroll Management Certificate (PMC)
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Excel, ACCPAC, Windows
Typing (Words Per Minute): 0 - 40 wpm
Type Of Payroll Method: Computerized
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Expertise: Make deductions and remittances, Maintain employee records, Prepare balances or reconciliations, Prepare employee payments and benefits, Compile statistical reports
Additional Skills: Store, update and retrieve financial data, Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check
