CREATE Foundation is the peak consumer body for children and young people in care. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering children and young people in care and improving the care system through activities, programs, training and policy advice.

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office for three Community Facilitators to implement a new program, CREATE Your Future – Supporting Transition. This program delivers services to young people with a disability transitioning from Out of Home Care, specifically workshops on life skill development, leadership and advocacy opportunities. This role should inspire connection, empowerment and change through fun and creative events, and by providing leadership for children and young people who are members of clubCREATE or are Young Consultants. This position will require regular travel to areas within Regional NSW.

Your experience and skills managing, facilitating and promoting programs and events will be well utilised. This position will have a particular focus on:

Expanding our clubCREATE membership, Planning and delivering workshops, training, social events and community programs, Facilitating advocacy and training responses for the OOHC sector, Facilitating life skill workshops to young people with a disability transitioning from care, Engaging key stakeholders from the out of home care sector and continuing to develop strong local networks

The successful applicant will have formal qualifications in social work, human services, youth work or relevant field, or appropriate experience at a professional level.
