Metal Product Spray Painter (Experienced Spray Painter)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Other Benefits

Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 5 years or more
Type of Paints or Coatings: Drying oils paint, Resinous, solvent drying paints, Catalyzed or polymerized paints, Emulsions, Inhibiting coatings
Type of Materials or Products: General metal products, Aircraft or motor vehicles, Plastic or rubber products
Surface Preparation Methods: Removing old coatings manually, Steam cleaning, Abrasive disc wheel, Masking
Application Methods: Electrostatic method, Hand-held spray guns
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Component manufacturing industry
Specific Skills: Select appropriate paint or mix paints, Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings, Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat, Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications, Maintain records and inventory
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
Other Information:Duties include regular preventive maintenance on all paint equipment and maintenance of accurate records. Day shift is Mon-Fri. 7:30am-4:30pm EXPERIENCED ONLY APPLY.
