Pennington Institute advances health and community safety by connecting substance use research to practical action, promoting more effective, cost-efficient and compassionate ways to prevent and respond to problematic drug use.
This position is focused on media, political and stakeholder public relations and advocacy – proactive and planned, as well as in response to emerging issues. The role ensures the organization is visible and has a share of voice in the media. Utilizing evidence to underpin the organization’s public positions, the successful candidate will lead the editorial direction of key publications including stakeholder focused newsletters, and will operate as lead author across a range of externally focused communications.
