Production Manager

Our organisation is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to be part of our target driven team! The Production Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the TMT business unit through effective strategic planning and leading the company towards profitable growth and operational success.

Requirements: A Project Management Degree or Diploma, At least  5 years hands on Project Management or equivalent job trafficking experience a must. Sales and Customer Service experience a must. A working knowledge of business practices and management. A minimum of 3-5 years management experience with a staff compliment in excess of 15. Electronics and Computer Engineering Qualifications an added advantage. A working knowledge of Electrics

Knowledge and Skills: Attention to detail, Numerate to an advantage level, Working knowledge of the SAP B1 system; advanced Excel and PowerPoint advantageous. Knowledge of the principles and workings of General Business Management. Knowledge of the ISO 9001: 2008 quality system and required procedures to comply there with Good management and people skills, strategic thinking and experience in performance management of high level staff within the organization. Manage, lead and co-ordinate the activities of TMT team to deliver a superior service to the customer while adhering to Trysome's QMS as well as corporate policies and procedures. Develop, implement and manage the system ensuring that customer deadlines are met. Ensure that TMT team has well established KPI's in line with the company strategy and enforce accountability for accepted and agreed-upon KPI's. In conjunction with HR, career path and performance manage TMT business unit staff as per company policy. Direct strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the business unit. Develop and maintain strong, transparent relations with supplies. Interact and PR Trysome at a high level with the current contract customer base ensuring a slick service delivery at all times. Facilitate and oversee pricing negotiations and various correspondences in this regard between Trysome and supplier as well as Trysome and customer. Collaborate with the Financial Manager and MD in the establishment and application of TMT product and service models. Manage the drafting of contract pricing and quotations.

Drive achievement of national TMT Sales Revenues and GP% targets y developing new business and marketing strategies in conjunction with relevant sales and service departments. New market identification. New product identification. Actively play a role in reducing company fixed cost by implementing policies and procedures. Coach, mentor, develop and train key administration, brand management, technical and sales staff. Manage the drawing up of contracts and tenders where applicable. Assist sales staff with strategic pricing and professional proposals. Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the MD and Executive committee keeping them abreast of all activities of the business unit. Assuming full accountability for the activities and operations of the business unit. N.b. this position requires a fair amount of travel and must be prepared and comfortable to go underground.
