Our organisation is currently looking for an excellent Medium Weight Graphic Designer to be part of our extraordinary team!  The Medium Weight Graphic Designer is responsible for producing visual solutions to communicate messages for our internal and external clients. Most work is two dimensional and is used within a range of media, including advertising campaigns, book covers, magazines, posters, brochures, catalogues, corporate communication, labels, signage, social media and websites. Some three- dimensional work, such as product packaging, exhibitions and displays.

Requirements: Relevant Design Degree/Diploma, Grade 12, Skilled in the appropriate software for the industry, In-design, Illustrate & Photoshop, Photographing and deep- etching

Attributes and Behaviors:  The job demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of the industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. The role involves managing more than one design brief at a time, allocating the relevant amount of time according to the 'value' of the job. Conceptual, creative and out-of-the-box thinking

Responsibilities:  Meeting with Internal Clients. Interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose. estimating time taken to complete work and providing production quotes where relevant. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Using innovation to redefine brief within the constraints of cost and time. Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients. Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer- aided design. Proofreading to produce accurate, highly - quality work. Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief. Photographing a deep-etching product images for marketing material, events and to upload to SAP. Creative for bi-monthly specials and bi-annual Trymag to meet studio and printer deadlines, checking colours and ensuring print read artwork. Administrative responsibilities will involve correspondence, scheduling and keeping track of the social media calendar. Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube Channel, LinkedIn and Hoot suite. Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programmes such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Powerpoint and Acrobat. Working as part of a team with printers, copy writers, photographers, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists. Updating and submitting accurate time sheets and status reports.
