Sales Manager- Clean Fuel & Lubrications Solutions, Location, Edenvale, East Rand, Job Type Full-Time, Salary: R44 280 to R52 400

Key Performance Areas: Managing and leading the activities of the department’s sales team for the engine aftermarket business unit as a viable and sustainable business entity, through effective strategic and tactical planning in the territories that fall under the responsibility of this department, Customer focus, with the ability to build long term relationships

Attainment of divisional turn over targets through sustainable growth and profitability of the business unit within all related business sectors and territories, Ensuring that the equipment and systems supplied to the market is correctly applied and fit for purpose to meet the customer’s needs, Staff Management: Development and mentoring or key staff within the business unit, Interaction within internal support divisions; Product Management, Customer Service, Logistics, Manufacturing, Marketing, HR, Product Data, Product development, Finance, QA/QC

Strategy development and execution, Manage and lead the clean fuel and lubrication solutions sales team, Keep abreast with and monitor market conditions and demands, Negotiate with end users, distributors and key accounts with operations in Africa to secure clean fuel and lubrication solutions opportunities, Convey market intelligence to the commercial teams, marketing, product management and product data, Manage pricing, marketing and stock holding by engaging with product data, marketing, product teams and logistics management, Order monitoring; sales forecasts, back and open order analysis, Identify customer needs with respect to products, pricing and services. Liaise with manufacturing and logistics resources to ensure that we consistently meet customers’ needs, Measuring and reporting of sales staff and divisional performance, Developing and executing marketing strategies with marketing and product management, Interacting and participation with global clean fuel and lubrication solutions teams, Engage with other sales teams to keep abreast with parallel opportunities in the market place i.e. New capital projects and expansions, Oversee the accuracy and presentability of proposals submitted, Oversee the smooth transition of orders from sales to execution phase, Maintain enquiry and business opportunity records and filing system, Develop and maintain an electronic Customer Database, Keep abreast with company product developments and their areas of opportunity, Ensure compliance of code of conduct by all relevant parties

Job Requirements: Relevant technical Degree / Diploma with a postgraduate business qualification, At least 5 years relevant overall experience with a demonstrated marketing and sales background, 3 - 5 years management level experience with a track record of successfully establishing and managing a sales team

Strong Leadership and staff management skills: Relevant sales and industry experience, Ability to think laterally, develop and implement strategies, Financial knowledge and related skills, Strong negotiation skills, Strong commercial awareness, Excellent verbal and written communications skills, Ability to deal with multiple scenarios simultaneously, Computer skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Proven track record (i.e. results driven), A high degree of self-motivation and drive, Extensive travel (Local, Africa and International), Experience gained in Filtration / automotive / mining / construction related industries will be advantageous
